1. Introduction
SENTech Ingenia Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the BT Connection website and web application at bt-connection.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
By registering for an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Who we serve
The Service is a marketplace for tour operators, tour agencies, and bus operators. We process information for:
- Tour operators and agencies - who post tours and review offers
- Bus operators - who browse open tours and submit offers
- Visitors - who browse public pages such as the home page and Open Tours listing
3. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account and profile data - name, email address, phone number, company name, country, account type, and password (stored in hashed form)
- Registration documents - files you upload during registration (for example, proof of business registration), stored in our file storage system
- Tour and offer data - routes, dates, passenger counts, pricing, vehicle details, itinerary files, and messages related to tours and offers
- Payment-related data - subscription status and payment records. Card details are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers
- Usage and technical data - session identifiers, server logs, IP address, browser type, and similar technical information needed to operate and secure the Service
- Communications - emails we send (for example, notifications about offers) and support correspondence
4. Open Tours and anonymity
When a tour is listed as Accepting Offers, certain trip details (such as route, date, and passenger count) may be shown on our public Open Tours page without revealing the posting company’s identity. Company-identifying information is shared between parties only after a connection is made through the Service (for example, when an offer is accepted), as described in our product flows.
5. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Create and manage accounts, including admin review of new registrations
- Match tour postings with bus operator offers and facilitate connections
- Process subscriptions and payments through Stripe
- Send transactional emails and in-app notifications (for example, new offers or accepted offers)
- Protect the security and integrity of the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations
6. Legal bases (where applicable)
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process personal data on grounds such as: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, improving the platform, anonymized public listings), and compliance with legal obligations. Where required, we will obtain your consent (for example, for optional marketing communications).
7. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Other users - when the Service is designed to reveal contact or company details (for example, after an offer is accepted)
- Stripe - for payment processing and subscription management
- Email provider (Resend) - to deliver transactional emails
- Cloud infrastructure and file storage - to host the application and stored files (for example, registration documents and vehicle photos)
- Professional advisers or authorities - when required by law or to protect our rights
Third-party providers are permitted to process data only as needed to provide their services to us, subject to their own privacy policies.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account subject to applicable law and our need to retain certain records (for example, payment or audit data).
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Cookies and sessions
We use session cookies to keep you logged in and to maintain security. These are essential for authenticated use of the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the core application.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
12. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
13. Children
The Service is intended for business users and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
